Booking Sessions

Sessions can be booked via our contact form below.  Alternatively you can text or phone on 07305 813 661 or you can email info@kerrythorpetherapy.co.uk

How regularly will sessions take place?

Counselling sessions for individuals are offered on a weekly basis, on the same day and at the same time each week.

Couples counselling sessions are offered on a fortnightly basis, on the same day and at the same time each fortnight (if you prefer to attend weekly we can discuss this).

Clinical supervision sessions can be offered on a monthly or fortnightly basis depending on the needs of the supervisee.

When will I/we pay for the session?

The session fee is agreed to be paid in full via BACS transfer, before the session starts.  I will provide you with my bank account details before your first session.

What happens if there is a week I want to attend but at a different time?

If there are weeks where you want to attend at a different time I will offer as much flexibility as my diary allows.

What happens if I have holidays or other events planned in advance?

For weeks where you or I have holiday days planned, or prior engagements, we will inform each other as far in advance as possible.

What happens if I need to cancel a session?

I ask that you give me a minimum of 72 hours to cancel a session.  If you give me less than 72 hours notice the full session fee will be charged, as the fee is for reservation of the session slot, rather than attendance.  Counselling needs to be regular in occurrence in order to be therapeutic, according to the BACP, and this cancellation policy supports that commitment to therapy.  Like physical exercise, counselling can sometimes feel hard before you feel the benefit and it can feel easy to cancel sessions, rather than explore what is behind it feeling harder at that point.  If I cancel a session with you, there is of course no charge.
